Forza Excerpts membership provides access to a library of audio tracks of orchestral excerpts for clarinet and bass clarinet, with the solo part omitted.
Use speakers, headphones or earphones and play with the orchestra. Reduce playback speed for slow practice at different tempos, or vary the speed of slower excerpts to prepare for differences in conductors’ interpretations. Play excerpts at A440, A442 or A443 pitch, and refer to videos that display tempo changes in excerpts that have rubato.
Forza Excerpts is developed by Robert Ault, a member of the Orchestra of English National Opera, and Professor of Clarinet and Bass Clarinet at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London.
